Age UK Coventry is a local, independent charity for people over 50 providing a range of specialist services to help make life a more ful lling and enjoyable experience, including: Advice and information through helplines, publications, on-line and face to face; Services to address isolation and loneliness and Championing the voice of older people in Coventry.
Alzheimer’s Society in Coventry offers a range of support services for people living with dementia and those who support them. These include: A one to one information and support service aimed at helping people affected by dementia to live well with the condition; A range of groups, including peer support, carer education, a dementia café and singing for the brain: Side by Side - where volunteers support people to keep doing the things that they enjoy.
We provide three services in the Coventry and Warwickshire area: Children’s Rights Advocacy Service - ensuring that the voice of the child
is heard and considered with regard to issues affecting them whilst in the care system: Independent Visitor Service - recruiting members of the public to befriend a child in care and participate in activities once a month such as outdoor activities or social pursuits with the young person: Supported Lodgings Service - recruiting and supporting members of the public willing to offer up a spare room in their home to support a young care leaver in preparation for independent living.
At the Belgrade, we create theatre in the belief that it can enrich our communities and fundamentally change people’s lives for the better. We aim to be one of the most dynamic producing theatres in the country and to offer an exciting mix of entertaining and engaging live experiences.
We are a group of like-minded people who seek to promote peace, friendship and understanding. We take part in exchange visits with similar groups abroad who have cultural links with Coventry.
Current students from the University of Warwick’s lifelong learning programmes will be talking to Festival attendees and answering their questions about opportunities for local adults who may not have formal qualifcations but are considering returning to study. We run hundreds of exciting courses in 25 venues across Coventry including: accredited courses in ESOL, English, Maths, Childcare, Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools, Accounting & Bookkeeping, First Aid and ICT; Apprenticeships; Family Learning courses; Community Learning courses, for example in Dance, Fitness, Photography, Craft, ICT, Languages and Music.
We are the leading NHS provider of mental health, learning disability and community health services to the people of Coventry, whilst also providing mental health and learning disability services in Warwickshire and Solihull, in addition to providing a range of specialist health services to people across the UK.
Libraries across the city with comfortable community spaces where you can browse, read and study for free. Books in many languages and access to ESOL and citizenship resources, as well as magazines and newspapers. Free internet and computer use. Online services and free e-books at your fingertips.
This committee of 20 peace-activists work to promote the city’s agenda as a city of peace and reconciliation both within Coventry and more widely. It is a representative committee and includes people from a variety of organisations in the city who support its aims. Included in its activities are an Annual Peace Lecture, a commemoration of Hiroshima Day, exhibitions and recently the updating of the Coventry Peace Trail.

A multi-agency team in Coventry, comprising Police, City Council and Whitefriars Housing employees, provides a Restorative Justice service for all victims of crime and anti-social behaviour. The team brings victims and offenders together to provide effective and long-lasting resolution of offences.

A residential service for single men and women aged 16+ who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Aims to work with people who have issues such as mental health or drugs or alcohol and are willing to engage with appropriate agencies in order to address these needs as part of the support planning process.
Soroptimists International of Great Britain and Ireland work to improve the lives of women all over the world. Our goals are to Educate, Enable and Empower women and girls so they will reach their full potential. We will have a tombola to raise money for Coventry Haven and Look Good and Feel Better (a named concern charity).

Healthwatch argues for the interests of all who use health and social care services in Coventry. We aim to give local people a powerful voice- making sure that views and experiences are heard by those who run, plan and regulate health and social care services. We are independent of all these services (such as hospitals and GPs).
We are a charity providing counselling and relationship support for individuals, couples, families, children and young people. We also provide education and learning programmes.

Sunrise is a community interest company reinvesting our income to support the communities we serve. Through our Event Store we supply a wide range of community events equipment and resources and in addition to storing, managing and maintaining elements of the former Youth Resources / YMCA Hire stock on behalf of Voluntary Action Coventry. We actively promote shared cultural experience to build greater understanding and provide a platform for artists from different cultures. Our stall will offer the opportunity to try musical instruments and learn about the myths of different cultures, and offer the opportunity to purchase culturally themed jewellery, small items of clothing, accessories such as bags and purses.

Our range of services includes: Supported Accommodation/Floating Support/Outreach Services.
We provide staffed and supported accommodation and oating support in the user’s own home to individuals and families who are experiencing personal crisis and are vulnerable to multiple disadvantages and social exclusion. This includes homeless families, teenage parents
and victims of domestic violence and abuse (DVA). We deliver a diverse range of projects to help young people overcome isolation and vulnerability, improve health and well-being and provide routes into employment and training. We provide a range of counselling and enhanced support services for disadvantaged, disenfranchised and disengaged individuals. Valley House also have a nursery onsite providing a range of childcare options.
Voluntary Action Coventry exists to increase and better support social action and community resilience in Coventry; strengthening communities and improving quality of life for residents in the city. We strive to create an environment that enables individuals and communities to overcome barriers and disadvantage and to progress positively to independence.
