Community Information Fair 2021

Positive Images Festival hosts the Community Information Fair as part of its festival celebrations.
The Fair is located in the heart of the City Centre and features 13 marquees with 26 stalls offering a great opportunity to find out about the work of local community groups and other public service organisations.  You will also be able to find out about the services they offer to the people of Coventry.

Alzheimer’s Society

Alzheimer’s Society in Coventry offers a range of support services for people living with dementia and those who support them. These include: A one to one information and support service aimed at helping people affected by dementia to live well with the condition; A range of groups, including peer support, carer education, a dementia café and singing for the brain: Side by Side - where volunteers support people to keep doing the things that they enjoy.

Barnardo’s Children’s Rights Services

Barnardo's Coventry and Warwickshire Service are recruiting members of the community to become Supported Lodgings hosts to provide a safe caring environment within their home to allow young care leavers the opportunity to acquire the key skills they need before they move on to live independently. We are also looking for volunteers to become independent visitors to befriend young children in care.

Building Bridges Project (A partnership of 6 organizations) 

The Building Bridges project is a two-year initiative which priority is to bring all communities together by supporting, participating and investing in the skills, the assets and the cultural background that each individual has. Centre for Lifelong Learning, University of Warwick

Current students from the University of Warwick’s lifelong learning programmes will be talking to Festival attendees and answering their questions about opportunities for local adults who may not have formal qualifcations but are considering returning to study. Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust

Our Integrated Sexual Health Service can help you with care and advice on sexually transmitted infections and contraception in Coventry. All services are completely free and confidential, including for under 16s. Services offered include clinic based appointments and drop in, outreach services out in the community and fully comprehensive HIV care. At the event we will be offering free condoms through the C-Card scheme and Chlamydia testing for under 25 year olds..

Coventry Cyrenians provide individualised support to promote and enhance the life chances of people in Coventry and Warwickshire who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness, and empower them to live as independently as possible. Coventry Independent Advice Service

People in our city are struggling to make ends meet.  Right now, some are having  to choose between paying bills or feeding themselves and their children. Many are finding it hard to pay essential bills, like gas and electricity. They may have a disability, be in low-paid insecure jobs or be caring for a relative.   They may have experienced a crisis. They might be just like you.  Coventry Independent Advice Service provides independent  advice and information  on welfare benefits  and debt/money problems.  We work in communities across the city, delivering our service  from libraries. Family Hubs  and other community buildings.
