Positive Images Festival hosts the Community Information Fair as part of its festival celebrations.
The Fair is located in the heart of the City Centre and features 13 marquees with 26 stalls offering a great opportunity to find out about the work of local community groups and other public service organisations.  You will also be able to find out about the services they offer to the people of Coventry.

Age UK Coventry is a local, independent charity for people over 50 providing a range of specialist services to help make life a more ful lling and enjoyable experience, including: Advice and information through helplines, publications, on-line and face to face; Services to address isolation and loneliness and Championing the voice of older people in Coventry.

Alzheimer’s Society

Alzheimer’s Society in Coventry offers a range of support services for people living with dementia and those who support them. These include: A one to one information and support service aimed at helping people affected by dementia to live well with the condition; A range of groups, including peer support, carer education, a dementia café and singing for the brain: Side by Side - where volunteers support people to keep doing the things that they enjoy.

Arewa Bakery

We are AREWA BAKERY we pride in making savoury and sweet pastries that is widely enjoyed by all we’ve been known for our yummy baked goods that is packed full of oriental flavours that leaves all our clients craving more at all time. We bake on a daily basis and we work hard in meeting with our targets too, and all of the time we are able to work according to tight schedules. Baking is a hobby that has become passion for us and also rewarding to a large extent.

Barnardo’s Children’s Rights Services

We provide three services in the Coventry and Warwickshire area: Children’s Rights Advocacy Service - ensuring that the voice of the child
is heard and considered with regard to issues affecting them whilst in the care system: Independent Visitor Service - recruiting members of the public to befriend a child in care and participate in activities once a month such as outdoor activities or social pursuits with the young person: Supported Lodgings Service - recruiting and supporting members of the public willing to offer up a spare room in their home to support a young care leaver in preparation for independent living.

Centre for Lifelong Learning, University of Warwick

Current students from the University of Warwick’s lifelong learning programmes will be talking to Festival attendees and answering their questions about opportunities for local adults who may not have formal qualifcations but are considering returning to study. Coventry Lord Mayor’s Committee for Peace and Reconciliation

This committee of 20 peace-activists work to promote the city’s agenda as a city of peace and reconciliation both within Coventry and more widely. It is a representative committee and includes people from a variety of organisations in the city who support its aims. Included in its activities are an Annual Peace Lecture, a commemoration of Hiroshima Day, exhibitions and recently the updating of the Coventry Peace Trail.

Coventry Restorative Justice Team

A multi-agency team in Coventry, comprising Police, City Council and Whitefriars Housing employees, provides a Restorative Justice service for all victims of crime and anti-social behaviour. The team brings victims and offenders together to provide effective and long-lasting resolution of offences.

Coventry Cyrenians Ltd

A residential service for single men and women aged 16+ who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Aims to work with people who have issues such as mental health or drugs or alcohol and are willing to engage with appropriate agencies in order to address these needs as part of the support planning process.

Healthwatch

Healthwatch argues for the interests of all who use health and social care services in Coventry. We aim to give local people a powerful voice- making sure that views and experiences are heard by those who run, plan and regulate health and social care services. Sunrise Community Solutions

Sunrise is a community interest company reinvesting our income to support the communities we serve. Through our Event Store we supply a wide range of community events equipment and resources and in addition to storing, managing and maintaining elements of the former Youth Resources / YMCA Hire stock on behalf of Voluntary Action Coventry. We actively promote shared cultural experience to build greater understanding and provide a platform for artists from different cultures. Our stall will offer the opportunity to try musical instruments and learn about the myths of different cultures, and offer the opportunity to purchase culturally themed jewellery, small items of clothing, accessories such as bags and purses.

Valley House

Our range of services includes: Supported Accommodation/Floating Support/Outreach Services.

We provide staffed and supported accommodation and oating support in the user’s own home to individuals and families who are experiencing personal crisis and are vulnerable to multiple disadvantages and social exclusion. This includes homeless families, teenage parents

and victims of domestic violence and abuse (DVA). We deliver a diverse range of projects to help young people overcome isolation and vulnerability, improve health and well-being and provide routes into employment and training. We provide a range of counselling and enhanced support services for disadvantaged, disenfranchised and disengaged individuals. Valley House also have a nursery onsite providing a range of childcare options.

Wild Earth

Wild Earth is a not-for-profit social enterprise based in Coventry and we are committed to connecting people with nature. We run self-development programmes for young people aimed at improving job readiness and wellbeing; nature walks and talks for the community and nature based music making workshops for schools and community groups. We are currently delivering programmes for young people aged 16 years and above and offer a range of courses to choose from.
