Alzheimer’s Society in Coventry offers a range of support services for people living with dementia and those who support them. These include: A one to one information and support service aimed at helping people affected by dementia to live well with the condition; A range of groups, including peer support, carer education, a dementia café and singing for the brain: Side by Side - where volunteers support people to keep doing the things that they enjoy.
Barnardo's Coventry and Warwickshire Service are recruiting members of the community to become Supported Lodgings hosts to provide a safe caring environment within their home to allow young care leavers the opportunity to acquire the key skills they need before they move on to live independently. We are also looking for volunteers to become independent visitors to befriend young children in care.

The Building Bridges project is a two-year initiative which priority is to bring all communities together by supporting, participating and investing in the skills, the assets and the cultural background that each individual has. Our grassroots project brings together refugees, migrants and the wider community to learn new skills, test new ideas and become more empowered – creating truly ‘Migration Friendly’ cities. We are a group of like-minded people who seek to promote peace, friendship and understanding. We take part in exchange visits with similar groups abroad who have cultural links with Coventry.
We run hundreds of exciting courses in 25 venues across Coventry including: accredited courses in ESOL, English, Maths, Childcare, Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools, Accounting & Bookkeeping, First Aid and ICT; Apprenticeships; Family Learning courses; Community Learning courses, for example in Dance, Fitness, Photography, Craft, ICT, Languages and Music.
Accelerate is a free employability programme for people in the Coventry and Warwickshire areas who are 19+, not working or in higher education and have the right to live and work in the UK. We provide dedicated one-to-one support and have access to courses, training and volunteering opportunities across the district.
Our Integrated Sexual Health Service can help you with care and advice on sexually transmitted infections and contraception in Coventry. All services are completely free and confidential, including for under 16s. Services offered include clinic based appointments and drop in, outreach services out in the community and fully comprehensive HIV care. At the event we will be offering free condoms through the C-Card scheme and Chlamydia testing for under 25 year olds..

Coventry Cyrenians provide individualised support to promote and enhance the life chances of people in Coventry and Warwickshire who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness, and empower them to live as independently as possible. The traditional view of homelessness has tended to focus on negative stereotypes. At Coventry Cyrenians we view our role as helping people to rebuild their lives.

People in our city are struggling to make ends meet. Right now, some are having to choose between paying bills or feeding themselves and their children. Many are finding it hard to pay essential bills, like gas and electricity. They may have a disability, be in low-paid insecure jobs or be caring for a relative. They may have experienced a crisis. They might be just like you. Coventry Independent Advice Service provides independent advice and information on welfare benefits and debt/money problems. We work in communities across the city, delivering our service from libraries. Family Hubs and other community buildings.
Libraries across the city with comfortable community spaces where you can browse, read and study for free. Books in many languages and access to ESOL and citizenship resources, as well as magazines and newspapers. Free internet and computer use. Online services and free e-books at your fingertips.
To enable and empower women from Coventry and the surrounding areas to take control of their lives and move forward with our Social, Health and Economic projects. Education, training, health and employment support. Culturally sensitive, women only and with language support. Creche available.

Healthwatch argues for the interests of all who use health and social care services in Coventry. We aim to give local people a powerful voice- making sure that views and experiences are heard by those who run, plan and regulate health and social care services. We are independent of all these services (such as hospitals and GPs).
Rotary is a long-established organisation, with clubs if every town and city throughout the world. Our motto is: “Service Above Self”. Voluntary Action Coventry exists to increase and better support social action and community resilience in Coventry; strengthening communities and improving quality of life for residents in the city. We strive to create an environment that enables individuals and communities to overcome barriers and disadvantage and to progress positively to independence.
Warwickshire Wildlife Trust aims to protect and enhance wildlife, natural habitats and geology throughout Coventry, Warwickshire and Solihull. We want to share the wildlife and heritage wonders of the River Sherbourne, which flows through the heart of Coventry, with everyone and show people how they can look after their rivers.
