Come along and celebrate the 24th anniversary of our festival by visiting the Multicultural craft and food fair in the heart of the city centre. Browse the 22 stalls, selling books, CDs musical instruments, crafts and artefacts from around the world. Sample and buy food that will tingle your taste buds. Also enjoy our free entertainment programme of music and dance from different cultures. An unmissable fair!

Chinese Fan Dance Club

Our group is made up of Chinese women whose aim is to promote Chinese culture to the wider community. We are proud to be associated with Positive Images Festival. At our stall, we will run workshops for the making of Chinese lanterns and arrange a demonstration of Chinese calligraphy. Don’t miss our dances, which we will perform in dazzling costumes. Working for Carers Trust Heart of England, I help and support all Chinese carers within Coventry & Warwickshire.

City of Coventry Freemen’s Guild

Coventry Freemen are unique, as to become a Freeman is by completing an indentured apprenticeship within Coventry. The original guild was created in the 14th Century. Come and visit our stall for information about our membership, the Guild’s history and our charitable activities. On sale will be our historical colouring books - Coventry’s Guildhall, & Coventry’s Medieval Story.

Friends of Ibba Girls School (FIGS)

Experience South Sudan’s sights and sounds through crafts, music and food. FIGS is a charity supporting the development of a girls’ school in South Sudan, where fewer than 1% of girls complete their education. Some of our items are created by the girls and women we work with, and all proceeds go towards empowering them - so do drop by!

The Highlife Centre

Highlife Centre delivers targeted services aimed at removing barriers to work and improving an individual’s wellbeing. Our services fall under 3 main categories: Specialist Intervention, Enterprise & Employment, Community Development Services. As part of the Community Development Services, we shall be raising awareness of health conditions such as HEP B, Tuberculosis and HIV. HIV and HEP C testing will also be available for willing punters. Testing is available every Friday at the Central Library from 12.30pm to 4.30pm.

Positive Posts

Visit my stall, where the Positive Posts Art project will be launched. Come and write Positive Posts about our city. You can also record your positive impressions of the city at two drop in sessions at the Central Library from 2.00pm to 4.00pm on Wednesday 20th June and Wednesday 4th July. Come and let us know what makes Coventry great! All the posts will be incorporated into an artistic wall hanging. Sunrise Community Solutions

We are a Community Interest Company whose income goes back into funding our activities. We provide a range of community services, including community event resources and support through our Event Store. We support UK’s diverse communities to identify needs and to develop sustainable community solutions. We offer the opportunity to try musical instruments and learn about the myths of different cultures, and offer the opportunity to purchase jewellery, small items of clothing, accessories such as bags and purses, etc.
